Portrun Development Association are delighted to have received two Awards at this year’s Competition – Best Large Community Space and Best Action for Pollinators (Large Space) Award.
The award issued by Roscommon County Council recognises schools and community groups efforts in areas of sustainability, biodiversity, pollinator-friendly actions, litter management, and overall maintenance of outdoor spaces.
Environmental Education and Awareness Officer with Roscommon County Council Jonathan Jones commented on how “hugely significant that our communities and schools are in championing best environmental practices in so many ways, encouraging family, friends and classmates to follow suit in pursuit of healthy, clean and living communities”
