No mow May 2021.
“No Mow May 2021” – The more wildflowers you have in your green area the more nectar will be produced. Portrun Development Association have decided to leave the green areas to grow naturally throughout the month of May, this will allow as many wildflowers as possible to flourish thereby providing pollen for all our pollinators – bees, butterflies and other insects. Statistics show that if you mow less the result will be that there is a marked increase of nectar available for bees and other pollinators.
