In partnership with RCC and through public awareness campaigns, Portrun Development is engaged in the process of trying to bring about a change in mindset and behaviour in the area of responsible dog ownership, putting emphasis on personal responsibility of dog owners to clean up after their dogs at the forefront of the campaign.
The Litter Warden Service will be increasing their anti-dog fouling activity throughout the area promoting responsible dog ownership, advising and cautioning the public and issuing fines where appropriate.
Portrun Development would like to thank the responsible dog owners who clean up after their dog and would ask all other dog owners to be civic minded and consider the impact of not cleaning up on others, particularly people with visual and mobility issues, children at play, wheelchair users, the elderly and parents with buggies.
